Course description

This course is the starting point for those looking to start a career as a fitness/gym instructor to work in a gym environment carrying out inductions, developing programmes and training clients in a gym environment. It is also the pre-requisite for those looking to move on to do the personal training course or other specialised training. It is taught through blended learning which is a mixture of home study/e-learning for the theory aspect and face to face training covering the practical elements of the course. Once booked on to the course you will be sent out your course manual and set up for your e-learning to support you through your study. You will then attend your 5 training days with your allocated tutor covering the practical elements of the course (you choose your dates from the dates listed), followed by one assessment day for your theory and practical assessments. Some candidates prefer to complete their theory assessments earlier which is an option available. The course content covers: -Principles of anatomy, physiology and fitness -Professionalism and customer care for fitness instructors -Health and safety in the fitness environment -Planning and instructing gym based exercise The course is assessed through written questions, continuous assessment during the course, a theory assessment, assignments and you will return (usually one week after the last attendance day) for a practical assessment. There are two price options for this course, choose £541.67 option if you are paying over a period of time or choose £500 option if you are using our early bird booking and payment option. On completion you will be issued with an Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing
