Course description
This one-year vocational qualification is comparable to the first year of study of an undergraduate programme. The course provides individuals with technical knowledge and understanding across a broad range of housing practices at a management level.
There are four mandatory units: Professional Practice Skills for Housing, Housing Policy, Housing Law, and Financing for Housing. Learners then choose two optional units: Housing Need, Demand & Supply; Managing People & Change; Delivering Housing Support Services for Health & Wellbeing; and Housing Management Services.
This course has 3 intakes per session in August, January and May.
Entry requirements
This course is suitable for applicants who have completed one of the following: CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice or CIH Level 3 Diploma in Housing, or equivalent. A background in housing is essential but candidates with relevant experience of housing and housing-related sectors will be considered.
Progression
This course enables learners to progress to the CIH Level 5 Diploma in Housing which on successful completion leads to CIH Chartered Membership status.
