The OFTEC assessment scheme covers a range of installation and maintenance activities within the domestic and commercial oil industry. The following assessments are available:

  • OFT 10-101 Domestic/light commercial commissioning and servicing of pressure jet appliances.
  • OFT 10-105E Domestic oil firing system installation and energy conservation measures in buildings.
  • OFT 10-600A domestic and non-domestic oil storage and supply installation assessments normally consist of a combination of practical and theory examinations.

Entry requirements

For the initial OFTEC assessments, candidates must satisfy the entry requirements defined by the OFTEC Assessment Scheme Rules (Category 1, 2 and 3). Candidates wishing to take re-assessment must have held the assessment element previously - if this element has expired within 12 months of the assessment date, it will be necessary to take the initial assessment.
