Course description
The Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 states that anyone who authorises the sale of alcohol to the public must hold a personal licence. The Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders at SCQF Level 6 (SCPLH) is a nationally recognised qualification which has been developed to meet the training specifications of the Scottish Government and local licensing boards throughout Scotland to provide the qualification to obtain this licence. The course includes: Core Provision; The Licensing Board; Licensing Standards Officers; Local Licensing Forums; Premises Licence; Personal Licences; Occasional Licences; Licensed Hours; Extensions; Operating Plan; Children and Young People; Drunkenness and Disorderly Conduct; Miscellaneous Offences; Control of Order; Review of Premises Licence; Associated Law; Alcohol and its Effect; The Environment and Social Responsibilities.

Entry requirements
If you wish to obtain a personal licence you need to apply to your local licensing board. You will be asked for a number of things to support your application; these include proof that you hold a licensing qualification such as the BIIAB SCPLH.
