1. Quantity surveyor
Manage construction costs while supporting sustainable, low-carbon building projects. There were 682 quantity surveyor vacancies in Scotland between September 2024 and September 2025.
2. Electrical engineer
Create and develop systems that use renewable energy. Work on electric cars, battery storage and smart grids. There were 293 electrical engineer vacancies in Scotland between September 2024 and September 2025.
3. Environmental consultant
Help organisations reduce their environmental impact and work more sustainably. There were 266 environmental consultant vacancies in Scotland between September 2024 and September 2025.
4. Electrician
Help install renewable energy technology such as wind turbines, solar panels and electric car chargers. There were 208 electrician vacancies in Scotland between September 2024 and September 2025.
5. Wind turbine technician
Install, maintain and repair onshore and offshore wind turbines that help generate renewable energy. There were 155 wind turbine technician vacancies in Scotland between September 2024 and September 2025.
